   Hi there,

   I am very happy about the option to add sales tax by state here in the US. When I activated this option the sales tax for the specific state does not calculate under the checkout box on the left side of the screen similar to the previous shipping calculation problem that was fixed. However it does end up calculating the tax on the payment gateway side. It is just very confusing to customers when they see the checkout box and it doesn't calculate properly and then sends them to a checkout gateway with a different total/itemization. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as we are required to charge state sales tax here where I live.

   hi,

   the customer does not select their country/sate until they checkout therefores its impossible to know what country/state they are being billed too until they enter their addresss/details.

   If you have a better suggestion id be happy to listen its just they must select a country before the system can know how much tax to add.

   I completely understand this, for me personally it would be better not to have the word Tax% 0.00 under left side of the checkout bar, and simply just calculate as it is doing on the payment gateway side. This way there is not confusion that the tax is 0.00 in some cases when it is not.

   thats no problem, you could edit the _checkout.php file and rename it to something less confusing.
