hi mark just wondered if it is possible using the existing set up to apply combinations of rules to shipping costs. For example flat rate surcharge plus a weight based component and the a country based component. Also i wonder if we could either add extra weight bands to the 4 already there or even better have some form of continuous ie linear scale. Shipping both light and heavy things all over the world is making my brain hurt

hi,
yes you can apply as many of the shipping options are you like but to be honest too many would be confusing for both you and the client especially if you offer any discounts etc.
if your shipping world wide and your main concern is the weight, then stick to the weight based shipping.
